Style Files: Throwback Sweater

I've been wanting to sport this sweater ever since I saw it at my mother-in-law's house.  Oversized warm sweaters is the main reason that I love fall.  I love to feel warm and cozy and unrestricted in my clothing, and this is the best way for me to do it.

Can you believe that this sweater was my husband's when he was in high school, and now he wouldn't be caught dead in it...but I would!  She graciously gave it to me, because she didn't want to deal with finding a new home for this classic Bill Cosby sweater.

When I saw it, I instantly pictured myself wearing it and what I'd wear it with.  I first tried it on as a dress, to which the hubster's informed me that a Christian woman doesn't dress like that!  The sweater "dress" was pretty short for my tastes, but some people don't mind "dresses" that short.  Anyways...I've settled on pairing this sweater with skinny jeans and leggings, and I like what I came up with.

  1. You styled this perfect! Loving the oversized sweater and how you belted it. Definitely leggings with knee high boots too. Oh, also if you have a dress or a maxi dress to layer the sweater over it. That would work too! Can't wait to see what you do with it next!

Oh, we loved the Cosby Show growing up. One of our favorites! That brings back memories, lol!
