Seven Things

This past Friday, the lovely Mrs. Pancakes of the Mr. and Mrs. Pancakes Blog called me out and said that she wanted to learn more about me.  So, I'm joining her Seven Things campaign and sharing seven things about myself.

1.  During the day, I work in Children's Ministry at Faith Center.

2.  I've been a Christian since I was 5 years-old, but just started seeking God and trying to understand Him and truly live my life for Him over the last 5-6 years.

3.  I have two sons; one here on earth and one already in heaven.

4.  I hate shopping, and if it were practical, I promise I would hire a personal shopper.

5.  I love to volunteer!

6.  I tend to not shy away from physical and emotional trauma.

7.  I hate taking medicine to a fault; sometimes I'd rather suffer.

I know, I know....I'm a weird mish mash of stuff!

Please share something about yourself with me!  I'd love to learn more about you guys.

  1. I really like these posts to learn more about other bloggers. Let's see...something about myself. I love football (pro and college), I love to bake (although I am not that great at it), and I am a homebody. Heather

  2. You sound like a strong, strong woman! :)

Something about me...I love volunteering, too. I work with survivors of sexual violence who present in the city's hospital emergency rooms.

This is a great exercise and a great way to get to know other bloggers!

  3. @Heather- I never would've taken you for a football fan. Cool! I'm sure your baked goods are...good!

@Elizabeth- Thanks! I think you're a strong woman too! I'd be an emotional wreck trying to help someone through sexual violence.

  6. Very cool! I agree with you on number 7. Even when giving birth I told her don't give me anything! But when it really started hurting I said ok give me a Tylenol. They thought I was really silly a Tylenol for labor pain?! ha! long story short I took nothing for labor.

  7. Welcome to the club for mashochists, Jacqueline!!! I have to admit, I did take pain meds for child labor, but I only did it because I felt like I should. It just seemed that that is what normal people did. I think I could've gone without.
